Personal Injury Lawyer Robert C. Gutierrez

Robert C. Gutierrez is a native New Mexican who grew up in the farming valley just north of Albuquerque. From 1972 to 1978, he worked as a police aide and corrections officer for the City of Albuquerque while he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Albuquerque.                   
He obtained his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1979.

Bob prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor criminal cases before funding his calling in the law in 1980, when he switched to personal injury and civil litigation. He previously worked the defense side of the table, defending the City of Albuquerque and its employees in tort and civil-rights cases. He represented the Albuquerque Police Department.

In 1983, Bob went to work for a large insurance law firm, where he became a shareholder and director. During 18 years there he developed valuable knowledge of defense strategies in cases involving personal injury and wrongful death, auto accidents, property or premises negligence, oil field accidents, medical malpractice and dental malpractice.

Bob joined Will Ferguson & Associates in 2001 and now represents persons and families injured or killed by the negligent or wrongful conduct of others. He has tried more than 40 jury trials in New Mexico's state and federal courts. He has been awarded Martindale Hubbell's highest rating of "AV."

Bob is married, has two adult children and two granddaughters. He enjoys time with his family, handyman work, hiking, camping, golf and hitting the road for RV trips.
