New Mexico Texting & Driving Accidents
Texting and driving is a serious issue on New Mexico roadways. Sadly, many people don’t adequately understand the risks associated with texting behind the wheel. Just taking your eyes off the road for a few seconds is enough time to cause a serious accident.
When drivers do not focus completely on operating a motor vehicle, they are less able to deal with changing roadway conditions. This makes them more likely to cause a car accident. Texting and driving may seem innocent, but the consequences could be deadly.
A driver who was texting at the time of a crash can be held liable for their actions under the law.
