Albuquerque, NM - Accident With Injury on I-40 at Rio Bravo Blvd Stops Traffic
Albuquerque, NM (August 29, 2019) - On Thursday, August 29, a vehicle collision on the westbound side of Interstate 40 resulted in a two and a half hour traffic delay.
The crash occurred just before the exit for heavily-trafficked Rio Bravo Boulevard NW further compounding the daytime dilemma. Only the far right lane was open to traffic, allowing motorists to attempt to shuffle through one by one.
Emergency paramedics responded to the afternoon crash, as well as officers from the Albuquerque Police Department. Reports of injuries were confirmed but no further information has been made readily available at this time.
The APD is still investigating the cause of the accident at this time.
