Pedestrian Accidents in New Mexico
Because pedestrians have less protection, they are more likely to be killed in an accident. The path is open to both pedestrians and automobiles. Pedestrians, on the other hand, continue to be killed in large numbers by vehicles. Despite a reduction in deaths on public transportation across the country, the number of people killed while walking is increasing. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely than passenger car occupants to die in an accident.
When a pedestrian is involved in a collision with a motor vehicle in New Mexico, they are at a significant disadvantage. Pedestrian fatalities are on the rise across the country as a result of this. Pedestrians, unlike passengers in automobiles, are vulnerable to the full force of an accident. This is one of the reasons why pedestrian accidents account for a disproportionately high number of national roadway fatalities each year. A pedestrian accident lawyer in Albuquerque can assist victims in recovering financial compensation for their injuries and other damages caused by the accident. Contrary to popular belief, determining who is at blame for a pedestrian accident is not always so simple.
