Intersection Crashes in New Mexico
Many drivers will speed up in order to race through a yellow light. Unfortunately, this often ends in a serious collision. Red-light runners contribute to hundreds of traffic fatalities across the United States each year, and intersections are the site of roughly half of all injury accidents. There are more than 2.5 million crashes reported annually at roadway crossings, making up an estimated 40% of reported traffic accidents.
In the state of New Mexico, plaintiffs injured in a vehicle collision have a right to be fully compensated for injuries resulting from the actions of a negligent party. When calculating the extent of a victim’s damages, many different factors are taken into consideration, including the suffering endured by the victim and the extent of their financial damages resulting from a New Mexico car accident. Considering all these factors can be overwhelming for those trying their best to recover after a car accident.
