New Mexico High-Speed Crashes
Drivers who speed are much more likely to cause a serious collision on New Mexico roadways for many reasons. Speeding makes it harder to properly control your vehicle, increasing the distance need to stop and hindering your ability to react to roadway hazards. An average of 25 people were killed daily in high-speed collisions across the country in 2018, with thousands of deaths reported that. Speeding was involved in 26% of roadway fatalities that year.
In the state of New Mexico, plaintiffs injured in a vehicle collision have a right to be fully compensated for injuries resulting from the actions of a negligent party. When calculating the extent of a victim’s damages, many different factors are taken into consideration, including the suffering endured by the victim and the extent of their financial damages resulting from a New Mexico car accident. Considering all these factors can be overwhelming for those trying their best to recover after a car accident.
