Certain kinds of accidents are more likely to cause serious injury or death. Statistics show that head-on collisions are one of the most dangerous and deadly types of accidents. While only accounting for 2% of all traffic accidents in the United States, head-on crashes are the cause of more than 10% of all fatal crashes.
Head-on crashes can happen in many ways. Sometimes, drivers drift across the centerline of the roadway into oncoming traffic. Roadway distractions are more common than ever, and these distractions cause drivers to make dangerous mistakes.
