New Mexico Reckless Driving Crashes
Most crashes can be prevented if driers would just practice safe driving while adhering to the rules of the road. Unfortunately, many drivers fail to do so. An estimated 90% of crashes are caused by human error, and nearly 30% of reported accidents are caused by reckless driving. Reckless drivers are responsible for a significant percentage of deadly crashes, contributing to 13,000 fatal collisions annually. That figure is nearly one-third of reported traffic fatalities.
Car crashes in New Mexico are caused by a variety of roadway hazards, such as poor driving, excessive speed, unsafe road conditions, poor truck maintenance, road construction, and inadequate signage. Determining liability for a crash can be difficult and more complex than simply determining fault, and injured parties are often unprepared to protect their legal rights after a catastrophic accident. New Mexico car crash attorneys who specialize in car accidents work with car crash injury cases resulting from a variety of causes.
