Aztec, NM - Anthony Cachucha Killed in Pedestrian Crash on US-550
Aztec, NM (February 8, 2020) - A Farmington man was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Aztec, New Mexico on Wednesday, February 5th. The crash occurred on US-550 SB at around 11:04 p.m. that evening.
Anthony Cachucha, 25, was reportedly killed after being hit by a 2004 Chevrolet. The 60-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet called authorities claiming that her vehicle had struck something on the roadway. However, Cachucha’s body was not found until 3:09 a.m. the next day on Thursday, February 6th. No charges have been filed at this time.
The identity of the driver has been withheld. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
