New Mexico Drowsy Driving Accidents
Drowsy driving is a huge issue in the United States. Due to our busy and fast-paced lives, many people fail to get adequate sleep before getting behind the wheel. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 800 people were killed in drowsy driving accidents in 2013.
Fatigued drivers are less able to pay attention to the road. This in combination with delayed reaction time makes drowsy motorists more likely to cause a serious car accident. In many ways, tired drivers pose just as much of a risk as drunk drivers.
Reckless motorists should be held accountable for their actions, especially when they result in serious injuries.
