Intersection Collisions in Bernalillo County
Traveling through a busy intersection is just another part of the day for most drivers. However, it just takes one negligent or reckless driver to cause a serious crash. Intersections are meant to make the roadways safer for everyone, but confusing intersection design can make serious crashes more
likely. For that reason, intersections are the site of a significant portion of car accidents reported across the country, despite only making up a minority of roadways in the United States. Nearly half of crashes resulting in injuries take place at intersections, along with a quarter of deadly car accidents. There are more than 2.5 million intersection crashes reported each year.
