New Mexico DUI Crashes
New Mexico has one of the highest drunk driving rates in the United States. These crashes can be deadly, and the state has the fourth-highest drunk driving fatality rate in the country. Local deputies claim that they handle nearly 40 DWI arrests each month, but the actual rate is probably much higher.
From 2003 to 2012, 1,254 people were killed in drunk driving accidents in New Mexico. Intoxicated motorists put others on the road at risk due to their negligent actions. Victims should always protect their legal rights after being injured in a collision involving a drunk driver.
