New Mexico Left Turn Crashes
Making a left-hand turn carries certain risks. Because we travel on the right side of the road, making a left turn means that the vehicle must travel across opposing lanes of traffic. This opens up the possibility of a head-on collision or another type of serious collision.
In a majority of cases, the driver making the left turn will be found at-fault for the resulting accident. Drivers are responsible for making sure their path is clear before making a turn or entering into traffic. Victims should always protect their legal rights following a collision by contacting a personal injury attorney.
