Albuquerque, NM (January 21, 2023) - A car accident was reported to police in Bernalillo County on Thursday morning, January 19. Sources say the accident happened on Interstate 40 near northeast Tijeras.
The accident happened in the westbound lanes near milepost 180. It was first reported to authorities at approximately 8:15 a.m. The right lane and shoulder of the roadway were blocked while officials worked in the area.
Multiple responders were observed at the scene including police and paramedics. At this time, it remains unclear how many people sustained injuries.
Authorities in Albuquerque continue to investigate the details of the collision.
