Car Crashes in New Mexico
Almost every day, we engage in one of the most dangerous activities: driving a car. In New Mexico, one out of every 130 car accidents results in a fatality. Distracted driving and speeding are two of the state's leading causes of serious car accidents. According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, a car accident occurs every 26 minutes, and over 25,000 people are injured in over 40,000 car accidents each year.
If you are injured in a traffic accident, you have the right to full compensation for your injuries and other damages. This is especially important if you were injured due to someone else's carelessness. Calculating the exact amount of your damages can be difficult. In order to receive just compensation, many different factors must be considered. Two of the most important factors are the severity of the victim's pain and the financial hardships incurred as a result of the car accident. Without the assistance of an Albuquerque car accident lawyer, even those with legal experience may find it difficult to recover.
