New Mexico High-Speed Collisions
In 2020, speeding was responsible for 29 percent of all road deaths. Speeding claimed the lives of 11,258 persons in that year. At least 30 individuals are killed every day. Excess speeds were responsible for about one-third of all highway fatalities in the prior three decades. When people drive too fast, they increase their chances of getting involved in a major accident.
