Albuquerque, NM - Pedestrian Fatally Hit by AFR Vehicle at Lomas & University Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (January 24, 2023) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a fire engine in Albuquerque on Tuesday morning, January 24. 

The fatal accident was reported at the corner of Lomas and University Boulevards at around 2 a.m. Local units with the Albuquerque Fire Rescue were responding to a structure fire when one vehicle hit a pedestrian. The injured party was provided aid at the scene but sustained fatal injuries. 

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
