Angel Fire, NM - Richard & Anne Schenk Killed in Plane Crash Near Zeb’s Restaurant
Angel Fire, NM (October 21, 2019) - A plane crash in northern New Mexico took the lives of two Kansas residents early on the morning of Sunday, October 20th. The crash took place near Zeb’s Restaurant in Angel Fire, New Mexico at around 9 a.m. The two deceased victims were identified as Richard Shenk and Anne Shenk of Great Bend, Kansas.
According to officials at the scene, Richard, 65, was operating the plane at the time of the collision. Authorities arrived at the crash site to extinguish fires resulting from the accident. Richard was reportedly an experienced pilot. The cause of the incident is currently unknown.
No other details have been released. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
