Deadly New Mexico Motorcycle Accidents
Around 80% of motorcycle accidents result in death or serious injury, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Motorcycle riders face a 27-to-1 fatality risk premium over passenger car passengers, according to the data. The safety of motorcycle passengers and drivers is very important. Motorcycling-related traffic deaths are disproportionately high across the country due to these and other variables.
Wrongful death lawsuits are meant to make amends for the loss of a loved one as a result of the negligence of another party. However, securing such remuneration is not always as straightforward as it sounds. Even if the victim died as a result of the accident, the responsible party should still be held accountable. It is not uncommon for the insurance companies of individuals responsible for a fatal accident to attempt to place responsibility elsewhere. After a fatal car accident, the defendant should instead compensate the deceased's family members to aid with accident-related expenses. Only a Capitan car crash attorney with extensive experience in representing the families of victims in wrongful death lawsuits would be able to achieve this.
