New Mexico Deadly Car Accidents
We all like to think that we would not be involved in a serious accident, but unfortunately, they are a reality for countless victims across New Mexico. There were 337 fatal collisions reported in the state in 2014, contributing to 383 reported deaths. That is more than one death each day on New Mexico roadways. The vehicle fatality rate in New Mexico is one of the highest in the country at 18.4 deaths per 100,000 people.
New Mexico wrongful death lawsuits are intended to compensate surviving family members when the negligent actions of another party cause the death of a loved one. Just because the victim died, that does not mean that the at-fault party should be off the hook. The defendant must instead pay compensation to the family members of the deceased after a deadly New Mexico car crash. This can only be accomplished by partnering with a law firm with years of experience helping victims pursue wrongful death claims.
