Albuquerque, NM – Car Wreck with Injuries at San Mateo Blvd & Phoenix Ave

Albuquerque, NM (September 17, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries in the aftermath of a traffic accident in Albuquerque on Tuesday, September 17. Emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site at the corner of San Mateo Boulevard NE and Phoenix Avenue NE that morning around 8:05 a.m. There were confirmed injuries, but the severity of the related damages has not been disclosed. 

The injured parties were treated by attending paramedics. Those requiring further treatment were later hospitalized by ambulance. The circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been determined. The resulting debris caused the roadway to be closed for several hours, and tow trucks were needed to clear the site. No additional information on the crash is currently available. Local authorities are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision.
