Albuquerque, NM (January 1, 2022) – A man was arrested following a hit-and-run crash that left one person injured in Albuquerque on Friday morning, December 31. The accident was reported at the intersection of San Mateo Boulevard and Candelaria Road at around 1:43 a.m.
Local sources revealed that a 2007 gold Hyundai was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when the vehicle rear-ended a silver Toyota vehicle. The driver of the Hyundai fled the scene. The driver was later found and identified as Christian Pacheco. Pacheco was arrested for driving under the influence.
The driver of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital. No further information has been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
