Albuquerque, NM - I-40 Scene of Injury Accident near Rio Grande Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (March 25, 2023) - On the morning of Thursday, March 23, a car crash happened in Albuquerque. Emergency crews were sent to the scene just before 11:00 a.m. to help the involved parties. 

Reports concerning the incident show it occurred on Interstate 40 near Rio Grande Boulevard. An unknown number of vehicles collided in the area due to circumstances not currently known. 

EMTs helped those with injuries at the scene before transporting seriously injured parties to local hospitals for further care. The identities of the individuals who were injured were not immediately reported. 

Traffic delays occurred on Interstate 40 near Rio Grande Boulevard while emergency personnel worked in the area. Police forced local motorists to use other travel routes to allow for the investigation and assistance of those with injuries.
