Albuquerque, NM – Major Car Accident on I-40 near Exit 140

Albuquerque, NM (March 5, 2023) – On the morning of March 1, an auto accident ended in injuries in Bernalillo. Reports show the incident occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m. 

The reason the accident happened is currently under police investigation. It took place on Interstate 40 near Rio Puerco/exit 140. 

Various responders were observed rendering aid at the crash scene including police, fire crews, and EMTs. Injured victims were treated and transported to area hospitals from the crash scene.
