Albuquerque, NM – One Killed, Five Injured in Collision at Morris St & Montgomery Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (November 21, 2021) – A multi-vehicle crash in the Albuquerque area ended in one fatality and multiple others injuries on Saturday, November 20. The fatal accident occurred at around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Morris Street NE and Montgomery Boulevard NE. 

Local reports revealed that 19-year-old Casino Salazar was driving at a high rate of speed on Montgomery Boulevard. He reportedly crashed with an SUV that was making a left turn onto Morris Street. The driver of the SUV sustained fatal injuries in the impact. 

Salazar and four passengers in the SUV were taken to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. He was reportedly charged with negligent use of a firearm and an open container violation. Salazar was reportedly involved in a collision earlier in the week and was charged with driving while intoxicated. 

An ongoing accident investigation is underway.
