Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Dies in Hit-&-Run at Central Ave & Rhode Island St

Albuquerque, NM (November 19, 2021) – A hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque on Wednesday night, November 17, resulted in fatal injuries. The deadly crash took place at the intersection of Central Avenue and Rhode Island Street at around 6 p.m. 

Local sources revealed that a black Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue behind a pickup truck. The driver was attempting to pass the vehicle when they hit a female pedestrian. The motorist fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured party. 

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently seeking information regarding the identity of the at-fault driver. 

An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
