Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Hurt in Crash at Central Ave & Chama St

Albuquerque, NM (January 17, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Albuquerque area on Saturday night, January 15. The crash was reported just before midnight at the intersection of Central Avenue NE and Chama Street NE.

The driver reportedly glanced at his phone and failed to notice a pedestrian crossing at the intersection. The man struck the victim. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The identity of the injured party has not been disclosed at this time. 

An investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
