Albuquerque, NM - Serious Vehicle Accident on I-40 near 4th St

Albuquerque, NM (June 11, 2023) - On Tuesday afternoon, June 6, a serious car accident happened in Albuquerque. The wreck occurred at approximately 12:21 p.m. when vehicles crashed on an interstate near 4th Street. 

Responders were observed at the crash site on Interstate 40 near mile marker 158/4th Street. An unspecified number of vehicles collided in the area and caused injuries. 

The people involved were rendered aid by paramedics at the scene; however, at this time, their identities have not been reported. Multiple responders were observed at the scene for an extended period of time after the incident occurred. 

The roadway was closed while crews worked to help at the wreck site. Currently, police in Albuquerque are still working to figure out how the accident happened.
