There have been more deadly car accidents as a result of the frequency of distracted driving in today’s technologically advanced culture. Driver distractions are more prevalent than ever, and most drivers in New Mexico own electronic devices like cell phones and smartwatches that potentially distract them while driving. A total of 3,142 persons lost their lives as a result of distracted driving in 2020. In 2019, distracted driving incidents across the nation resulted in 424,000 injuries and over 3,100 fatalities.
New Mexicans often have one of two financial recovery choices following an automobile accident. Usually, the victim will make a claim with the responsible party’s insurance carrier. Even if the victim has evidence that the reckless motorist was doing something reckless such as speeding, it could be challenging to get a fair and complete settlement. Insurance firms engage in the practice of bullying victims and depriving them of the full compensation to which they are legally entitled.
In addition to the current expenditures associated with a car accident, our attorneys are able to thoroughly evaluate the claims of our clients by projecting future medical bills, missed wages, and other expenses. Your pain and suffering as a result of the injury should be covered by the settlement. Before starting an active discussion with the insurance company, we will carefully assess the claim’s value. If the insurance company does not provide a reasonable settlement for your damages, we will pursue compensation in court.
