Deming, NM - Marcos Jaime Recarte-Osorio Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-10

Deming, NM (March 21, 2023) - A California man was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle in Deming on Friday, March 17. 

The deadly accident took place on Interstate 10 EB near 9:20 p.m. It was reported that 72-year-old Marcos Jaime Recarte-Osorio of Pasadena, California, was walking along the highway when he was hit by an oncoming motorist. 

Recarte-Osorio sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead. No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress.
