Farmington, NM – Michael McCraren Dies in Head-On Crash

Farmington, NM (October 8, 2021) – Two people were killed in the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision in Farmington on Tuesday, October 5. 

The fatal crash took place early that morning. Local sources indicated that 50-year-old Michael Shannon McCraren of Tucson was traveling westbound at the time of the impact. McCraren’s Volvo SUV was hit head-on when an eastbound drifted into his lane. 

McCraren was killed on impact. A passenger of the Maserati, Hannah Elisabeth Cornelson of Surprise, Arizona, was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Both the driver and another passenger of the Maserati were hospitalized for treatment. 

The driver of the Maserati is currently facing pending charges. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
