Moriarty, NM - Three Semi-Trucks Involved in Injury Crash on I-40

Moriarty, NM (March 23, 2023) - On Thursday morning, March 23, there were reported injuries after a multi-vehicle accident outside of Moriarty. The accident was reported at around 6:25 a.m. on Interstate 40 near mile marker 203. 

Three tractor-trailers were reportedly involved in the crash, and the highway was closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. The injured parties were provided aid by attending paramedics before being moved to nearby hospitals. 

The interstate was later reopened after tow trucks were able to clear the resulting debris. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
