Reserve, NM – Linda Pecotte Dies in Plane Crash in Sheep Basin

Reserve, NM (October 16, 2021) – A pilot was killed and two passengers injured after a plane crash near Reserve on Friday, October 15. 

The incident took place in Sheep Basin early that morning. At around 11 a.m., a small plane crashed in Catron County. According to the New Mexico State Police, Linda Pecotte of Silver City was killed in the accident. 

Two passengers on board were also injured. At this time, no updates on their conditions have been provided. No additional information on the fatal incident has been released at this time. 

An ongoing investigation is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
