Pedestrian Accidents in McKinley County
An automobile accident that includes a pedestrian will most likely have very grave, life-altering repercussions for the pedestrian and the motorist. The fault in the majority of pedestrian-involved accidents is presumed to rest with the driver. While that is most often the case, this scenario is not ubiquitous. Accidents that happen in crosswalks and intersections tend to be more straightforward than those that take place on another person’s private property or in a parking structure.
In 2015, a total of 5,376 pedestrians were killed in car accidents throughout the United States. An additional 129,000 pedestrians received some form of non-life threatening injury. This means that the likelihood of accidentally running into a pedestrian is not as small as one might like it to be.
