Roswell, NM - Two Hurt in Deadly Car Accident at Main St & Burkett Rd

Roswell, NM (December 1, 2022) - A woman was killed following a single-vehicle crash in the Roswell area on Tuesday, November 29. 

The deadly accident took place at the corner of S. Main Street and Burkett Road at around 11 p.m. It was reported that 35-year-old Desiree McMath was driving north in a sedan when she lost control of the vehicle. McMath was ejected from the vehicle after the sedan overturned and hit two parked cars. 

McMath was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Two teenage passengers in the vehicle were also hospitalized for treatment. No additional updates have been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
