Ruidoso, NM - UPDATE: Sotero Acuna Identified as Victim of Deadly Farley’s Restaurant Accident
Ruidoso, NM (September 15, 2019) - The victims of a deadly car crash at a popular Ruidoso, New Mexico restaurant has been identified by New Mexico State Police. The accident took place at Farley’s at the 1200 block of Mechen Drive around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13. The woman who lost her life was identified as Sotero Acuna, 57, of Clovis, New Mexico.
After the crash, Acuna’s 58-year-old husband was flown to University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas in critical condition, A third victim, a 75-year-old woman, was also hospitalized. According to NMSP, the at-fault driver, an elderly woman, accidentally drove forward instead of reversing her vehicle, striking the three victims.
No other information is currently available at this time. An investigation is ongoing into the crash.
