Santa Fe, NM - Kevin Michael Poirier Killed in Hit-&-Run on NM-14
Santa Fe, NM (March 29, 2020) - On Friday, March 27th, authorities responded to a deadly hit-and-run accident in Santa Fe. At around 10 p.m., local authorities were notified that a pedestrian had been struck on NM-14 near the Santa Fe Detention Center. Upon arriving, authorities found that Kevin Michael Poirier, 45, of San Diego had been hit by a driver who fled the scene.
Initial reports revealed that Poirier was walking south on NM-14 and is believed to have been struck by a 2015 Ford pickup truck, and the driver of the truck fled the scene. The vehicle is believed to have sustained front-end damage and is likely missing a side mirror. No other details are known at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being handled by local authorities.
