Springer, NM - Crash on I-25 Takes Life of Dorothy Anna Leasher, 2 Others Injured
Springer, NM (September 17, 2019) - New Mexico State Police have confirmed that a woman from Colorado was killed in a rollover collision on Monday afternoon, September 16. The crash occurred as the driver was exiting I-25 south of Springer, New Mexico. The driver has been identified as Dorothy Anna Leasher, 80, from Golden, Colorado.
Leasher was reportedly exiting Interstate 25 at a high speed. She then ran a stop sign, rear-ending another vehicle. Leasher was taken to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were also hospitalized following the accident.
Intoxication is not believed to have played a part in the collision. NMSP is currently investigating the accident.
