Roswell, NM – Four Hurt in Rollover Crash at Main St & Mescalero Rd

Roswell, NM (May 16, 2025) – There were several injuries reported after a crash involving a vehicle from the Roswell Police Department on Tuesday, May 13. The incident took place at the corner of Main Street and Mescalero Road late that night at around 9 p.m. An RPD SUV was traveling north on Main Street when a southbound SUV attempted to make a turn onto Mescalero Road.

The two vehicles collided, causing the civilian SUV to roll onto its side. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The three occupants of the SUV and the officer were all transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victims were conscious and alert when authorities arrived. The area was temporarily closed as tow trucks worked to clear the scene. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
