Albuquerque, NM — Accident with Injuries Reported on I-40

Albuquerque, NM (January 27, 2024) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Albuquerque area on Friday thing, January 26.

According to police reports, at around 4:40 p.m., a collision between vehicles occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 40. The incident caused delays in the North Campus neighborhood as emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles from the roadway. Crews spend an extended amount of time at the scene assisting. At least one person was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital, where they underwent emergency treatment for the injuries they incurred. The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
