New Mexico High-Speed Collisions
A driver can make the road a more dangerous place when they behave negligently. Around the country, thousands of people die every year in accidents caused by speeding drivers. Out of the 38,824 fatal car accidents that happened in the United States last year, 11,258 were caused by speeding. Not only does going too fast make it harder to stop, but it also magnifies the severity of any resulting injuries. It shouldn’t be a surprise that about 29 percent of all highway deaths in the United States are caused by drivers who are going too fast. In 2021, about 33 people died every day on American roads in accidents that happened at high speeds.
