Albuquerque, NM - Car Wreck with Injuries on NM 80 near milepost 5

Albuquerque, NM (May 7, 2023) - On the afternoon of May 4, emergency responders in Albuquerque were dispatched to the scene of a car crash with injuries. According to reports, the wreck happened at approximately 1:24 p.m. 

Vehicles collided on Interstate 80 in the vicinity of milepost 5 for reasons still under local law enforcement investigation. Multiple responders were sent to the crash site to help the people involved shortly after the accident occurred. 

Emergency crews, including police, EMTs, and paramedics, blocked the roadway for an extended time period on May 4, causing significant traffic delays. 

One or more injured parties were taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated for the injuries they sustained in the accident. The names of the people involved in the accident have not been reported at this time.
