Albuquerque, NM – Collision Ends in Injuries at I-25 & Central Ave

Albuquerque, NM (August 29, 2024) – On Thursday, August 29, a car accident with injuries was reported in Albuquerque. The accident was first reported at around 8:15 a.m. on Interstate 25 NB near Central Avenue NE. The injured parties were treated at the scene by attending medical personnel, and the crash site was closed for several hours. 

At least one person involved in the crash suffered injuries, but the severity and number of resulting injuries have not been determined at this time. Those requiring further treatment were later dispatched to local hospitals for additional treatment. Local authorities advised nearby drivers to avoid the scene and to plan for extended delays. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and reopen the roadway to outside traffic. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
