Albuquerque, NM - Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Tramway Blvd & Cloudview Ave

Albuquerque, NM (March 28, 2025) - A driver has been arrested in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident in the Albuquerque area on Wednesday, March 26. The deadly crash took place at the corner of Tramway Boulevard and Cloudview Avenue late that night at around 10:30 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene of a serious pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

It was later revealed that two women were walking along the southbound shoulder of Tramway Boulevard when one of them was hit by the driver of a southbound Buick sport utility vehicle. The driver continued down the road and fled the scene. The woman sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver, a 38-year-old man, was later located and finally identified. He admitted to drinking alcohol before driving. The results of a blood test are pending, but the man is currently facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. No further information on the crash is currently available. However, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress, and further details may be expected as the inquiry progresses.
