Albuquerque, NM – Injuries in Wreck at I-40 & Rio Grande Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (December 19, 2024) – On Wednesday, December 18, there were confirmed injuries following a car crash in the Albuquerque area. The accident was reported late that night, around 6:54 p.m., on Interstate 40 WB near Rio Grande Boulevard NW. At least one person involved in the crash was hurt, and emergency responders were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. 

The crash victims were later transported to local hospitals for additional treatment. The severity and the number of the resulting injuries have not been confirmed at this time. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were later sent to clear the site of the resulting wreckage and other debris. No additional information on the collision is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
