Albuquerque, NM (January 23, 2026) – Emergency personnel responded on Thursday, January 22, to a serious crash involving a young adult operating a minibike near the intersection of Edith Boulevard and La Donna Lane NE.
First responders from the Albuquerque Police Department arrived promptly to assist. According to authorities, two juveniles were traveling south on Edith Boulevard on minibikes. One of the riders was on the dirt shoulder while the other traveled in the northbound lane.
The rider on the shoulder moved into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision. The juvenile driver was ejected from the minibike and was hospitalized in critical condition.
