Albuquerque, NM - Major Car Wreck on I-25 near Lead Ave

Albuquerque, NM (May 20, 2023) - On the evening of May 18, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a car crash in Albuquerque. According to reports, the wreck took place on Interstate 25 at around 6:35 p.m. 

Emergency personnel were seen at the crash site shortly after the wreck happened on Interstate 25. Sources say the incident took place near Lead Ave between an unspecified number of vehicles. 

At least one individual was injured in the collision and treated by paramedics at the scene. One or more patients were transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Traffic was stopped back to Sunport Boulevard for some time while crews worked in the area. Local authorities asked drivers to change their travel routes and use caution when driving near the scene.
