Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Fatally Hit at Central Ave & Garcia St

Albuquerque, NM (February 14, 2024) – On Tuesday morning, February 13, a pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The fatal accident occurred at the corner of Central Avenue NE and Garcia Street NE early that morning at around 4:45 a.m. The victim was traveling on foot when they were struck by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. At this time, the identity of the deceased party has not been provided. 

The area was closed while emergency crews were present, and it was later reopened some hours later. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available.
