Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Pickup at 4th St & Solar Rd

Albuquerque, NM (July 20, 2024) – On Friday, July 19, a pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The incident took place at the intersection of 4th Street and Solar Road late that evening. Local reports revealed that a 2022 Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on 4th Street when a vehicle in front of it swerved to the right. 

The driver then hit a pedestrian that was crossing the roadway. The impact threw the pedestrian nearly 30 feet. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, and the injured party was rushed to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. However, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
