Pedestrian Accidents in Albuquerque
This crash adds to a growing list of recent pedestrian accidents in Albuquerque, which remain a serious concern for residents. Central Avenue, one of the city’s busiest roads, has heavy traffic and a higher risk of crashes involving pedestrians, cyclists, and e-scooter riders.
Pedestrian accidents in Albuquerque are often devastating since people on foot or scooters have little protection against vehicles. Victims often suffer brain injuries, broken bones, or other life-threatening trauma. Recovering from these injuries may take months, and in some cases, victims never fully regain their health.
In New Mexico, victims of traffic accidents have important legal rights. The New Mexico statute of limitations sets deadlines for filing personal injury claims, requiring victims to act within a set timeframe. Missing this window can prevent victims from recovering damages for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
When crashes occur, working with a skilled Albuquerque pedestrian accident lawyer is one of the most effective ways to protect your rights. An attorney can:
- Investigate the accident thoroughly, gathering police reports, witness statements, and video evidence.
- Negotiate directly with insurance companies to seek maximum compensation for injuries and losses.
- Represent you in court if negotiations fail, ensuring your case is presented strongly before a judge or jury.
